Viva la France!
I just picked up a new-in-box R. David handmade Laguiole knife with corkscrew. I'm guessing the wood is Olive, but who knows. It's very nice and pretty and a supersweet knife. (3.75" blade. 12 C 27 stainless steel.)
It goes with the Sporting Event of the Month!
...And it goes with wine, cheese and bread like you won't believe.
These Davids can cost twice as much!
So it's a Commemorative and it's also a Dang Bargain!
I have just this ONE. (Snooze ya lose.)
Who knows, maybe I should keep it...
It has fancy, hand-done filework on it everywhere. And the shepherd's cross rivets.
I have an older Laguiole but it's not as nice, no accents... Well, ya know what they say about the cobbler's kids...and the cobbler himself!
I'll pass this one on to you to help support the OYB cause.
too bad it doesn't have one of the sweet Laguiole sheaths... The best designed sheath out there. To go with one of the most gorgeous knives. No, THE best looking knife. It's French, after all.
Let the Swiss be useful.
(Here's a link to get a sheath: www.sarlat-french-knives.com/laguiole-knife_BLACK-LEATHER-LAGUIOLE-SHEATH_59.htm.)
[Non-US customers pay excess postage. I'll look up and email that cost in response to your order or query.]
