The Nomadic Bows of Eurasia
January 28, 2010

Interest in the deeply recurved bows of the nomadic peoples who swarmed the plains of Eurasia is making a comeback.

Part of this is from the recent opening of the East to the West.

Part might even be due to movies like Lord of the Rings.

All of it has exploded thanks to the Web.

So check out the archery of the Huns, Magyars, Turks and Mongols!

"The aim of Flagella Dei is to make Europe acquainted again with the nomadic mounted bows during its roaming, of course with a more peaceful purpose. Nowadays, when there is greater demand for looking back and re-evaluating the Middle Ages, which were not so dark, we intend to introduce the nomadic culture and its arms."
