Marbles Reissues Classic "Game Getter" Pack-Gun!
February 03, 2012
I just found out that Marbles has re-issued their classic combi-gun, the Game-Getter. I've been posting and harping about this gun for years. I can't believe I missed this new item. Maybe I overlooked it because it's pricey and the barrel is too long, but whatever, it seems clearly like news.
The Game-Getter has always been "illegal" in modern times and was a rare antique, a great concept, though. The ultimate pack-basket gun. A .410 shotgun under a .22 with a folding stock and a sweet shoulder holster. Carry anywhere. Great for canoes. Or under truck seat. Whatever. Handy.
They are listed as going for $2k each. Made in the USA, it looks like, up in the U.P. of Michigan.
(Marbles of Gladstone is now named "Marble Arms." It used to be one of the biggest employers in the US, with thousands in a huge factory. I recall the factory burned. Rats! But it's been back for a few years now, making reissues of their old hatchets, knives, compasses and such.)
The new GG's were announced in 2009, then 2010, then I see delivery of 2011. I also see a note saying that the popularity of the re-issue of their classic gun-sights is preventing them from getting the Game-Getter done. Whew! C'mon, people!
I see no reviews online yet.
Are they all pre-sold? I don't see a quantity mentioned.
The Big Offer!
The new gun!
